Minimum 16 hrs driver training on roads (3a reverse de-couple, Re-couple included) and a 1 hr Practical Road test.
About the course
During your training you will learn how to do daily all round checks for your tractor unit and trailer. You will get to know the size of the vehicle and how to adjust your driving positions according to the size of the vehicle around corners etc. You will be always assessed during your training and advised on anything you need to do differently. You will also be taught how to reverse into a bay and how to do a De-couple, Re-couple from your trailer so you can then take your 3A test for this.
What will I be able to do after completing the course?
After completing this course and passing you will be allowed to drive any large goods vehicle with a trailer. This may be an articulated lorry or a rigid with a trailer (wagon and drag).
How will I be assessed?
Your instructor will mentor and assess you throughout your training, when this training is completed you will take a DVSA Category C+E on Road driving test.(3B)
Entry requirements?
You must have a British driving licence and be over 18 yrs of age.
These packages are only for drivers who already hold a cat C licence, not for drivers with only a car licence.
